Love Affair, Is It Cheating?
61Love or just an affair?
Cheating is never a good idea and no one ever really wins in the end. I wrote this poem for a friend because I saw her suffer so much and learned that her partner was suffering too, because he lost his family. I wanted to highlight that cheating is not good, not right and only hurts all involved.
You have no idea
I wanted to be a snitch
I hurt so bad
that my heart was falling out of my chest
He pissed me off so violently
that all he saw was a bitch
Well, I am here to tell you that I am no snitch
He hurt me, severely, deep within
I loved him to the bottom of my soul
I was his blanket, he used and batter
But now I have gone cold to this matter
Cheaters never win
They will lie and then lie some more
But I know and he knows he will never win
Because I will pray and pray to the almighty Lord
I may be hurting, shattered by his lies
Feeling pain but try to lift to the skies
Help me Lord, for I have sinned
With a cheater I laid
How must I move forward and mend
Cheaters, cheaters never win
They vanish, they fall, and they die to all
With mindless heart, seedless soul
They become cold and very old
To live alone

Hi Gordon, good question, however, I think women cheat as much as men, probably...don't know that for sure. But I have seen my friends suffer through issues like this and it hurts everyone involved...I just wonder if it's worth it in the end. Hope I never know :) My best to you.
Your answer is easy -- dump the SOB and move on. A lovely lady like you deserves the best, and don't settle for less.
In answer to G. Hamilton's very valid point -- women cheat just as often, possibly more so. I've kicked around the world for quite a while now, and I've known more lady cheaters than gentleman cheaters. For whatever it's worth.
Cheaters suck! It would definately NOT be one of my hobbies! I personally haven't figured out how they keep their lies straight, or maybe, they don't, and that would be how they get caught?
Seems to me like it would be a waste of good time.......
The untrue information will always come out. The truth will be exposed, always :)

I think cheaters can be men or women but they destroy those who love them and even if they are fortunate enough to be forgiven, no one ever forgets. Trust is not regained easily if ever. Good hub.

Beautiful but painful poem...Cheaters hurt, deeply...your love has been violated and it is difficult to regain that trust that comes with love and commitment...Some folks are just weak and give in to their basest instincts...I agree with Imartin, cut the anchor and sail on...Larry

Trust... the only person you can trust ultimately is yourself. How can anyone know the heart of another? No expectation and there is no lie.

Cheaters always ruin something so pure, so beautiful - which could turn out to be the most precious in their life, but in their cheating - that precious person slips out of their fingers. (man or woman)

There is cheating going on every day that is never found out about. That doesn't usually cause pain, except to the cheater. I'm not the type.
But the legs in the pic above make me think.
Harvey, you are a funny man and it's painful for all involved. Hope you are well.

Lots of us experience the problem of the Cheater. It can be male or female. Sometimes the lies are even worse that come after the cheating, and going behind one's back. It is heart-breaking.
But the best thing is to move on, and put the person out of your mind. The stronger our relationship of dependency is with the cheater, the worse we feel. And it is hard on married people with kids. The shame can be terrible. My heart goes out to the person in the hub who experienced the "cheat" in question. A good hub. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I was a cheater, in the end , I paid a high price, still paying as a matter of fact. If I could go back I would do everything so differently, I hope I would anyway

Hmmm...interesting Hub, Ladybird - and naturally, a very good point. It throws up a question, however, which I once wrote a very painful article about online. I am not saying for a second you are suggesting this but the question I posed was, "Why do people almost always assume that it was the man who was the cheater...?"
