Poem - About Marriage

61

By Ladybird33

My husband considers me a nagger

He makes me crazy but I love him so much

But I think I have flavor and swagger

However, our fight was over before lunch

He kept me up all night

Bucking, sucking and cussing

Although, it was fighting and loving all night

I consider myself lucky because we were not fussing

I didn’t want a war

But I was mad and I throw a chair

And he knew what for

He knows I love him and I care

Yet, I have the swagger, swing and sway

Let’s not forget, that I am your wife

Kiss me hard, all through the day

And remember, you married me for life

I don’t know but I do know

We communicate through our fights

Love, hardcore, deep and low

We will fight but through the nights

But in the day of dawn

I maybe a nagger but I have a certain swagger

And in the lazy afternoon on the lawn

The fight was over, the love was right and I was a nagger

Larry, Love is the bottom line, so true and so right, marriage is fun, it's what you make it.

BC99, yep, swagger, nagger, who would have thought :)

Bingskee, You are an inspiration. Thank you all, love the comments.

I had a hindu religious man tell me once, "Toys are fun, but you don't want to be playing with them all your life." There is something in your poem that talks to that point, for me anyway. I guess it's the idea that we have to move past infatuation and butterflies in the tummy--it's simply not something that can last.
