61Fathers, Dads, Papa's...for you!
I wrote this poem for all the fathers out there that are the best of dads! You know who you are and how good you take care of your children. All the fathers in the past, present and future, this is your tribute, thank you for all that you have done for us children!
Poem for All Fathers!
The love is shining in your eyes
You are so proud, you are so proud
I see the first opportunity to reach for the skies
I want to scream and shout so loud
For all the years we have worked so hard
It came from afar
Life within will now change
We are moving into the fast lane
I couldn’t have done it without you
The man that taught me all that I knew
The man that made me who I am today
The man that first heard my coo
The man that loved me so much he never knew
I tried so hard to be just like him
To grow large and tall
To be smart, to excel, to be all that I could be
He was the key that made me
I am the man today
Because of his love and play
He will miss me I know
But I only hope one day
That I will be a great dad
Because that is what I had
I love you more and more
And I pray to the Lord
Let me be like my dad
He gave it all to me
I am the lad he wanted me to be
